It’s Just Energy

By Albert E PerryNov 07, 2022

Whatever you can think of that is a part of this realm, it’s just energy. Furniture, Mountains, Emotions, our body, our thoughts, food, water, air, anything, and everything else is simply just energy.

Why Is It Important To Know Everything Is Just Energy?

What has come to be known as the first law of Thermodynamics was originally theorized and tested by Émilie du Châtelet.

“Energy can neither be created nor destroyed; rather, it can only be transformed or transferred from one form to another.” – Institutions de Physique (1740, hereafter translated as Foundations of Physics).alt='Golden energy swirling on a black background with the word Energy below''

Energy is a raw material. When it is dense, it takes on the illusion of Matter. I say illusion because Matter is finite. It can and will demise. However, the energy that is the building block of any material thing, will still exist as energy and then take on another form. For an example with which we can relate, think about the leaves of a tree. When they are done being leaves, then they fall from the tree, rot, and become part of the soil which returns nourishment to that same tree.

The same is true for things of this realm that are not solid, such as emotions and thoughts.

Are Thoughts Really Energy?

alt='An animated human head with energy patterns running through with the words Thoughts are energy underneath'

We don’t think of a thought as solid at all. Yet, when that thought occurs neurons fire, and chemicals are produced that make us feel a certain way that supports that thought. If the thought is optimistic, serotonin and dopamine are created and that makes us happier to support the optimism.

However, if a thought is stress-related, cortisol and norepinephrine are created that raise our blood pressure, increase our heart rate and give us that fight or flight response that doesn’t feel very good and makes us more stressed, thus supporting that thought.

Therefore, we create the way we feel with our thoughts.

This is powerful!

If you want a happy and fulfilled life, control your thoughts! Sounds simple?

On the surface, yes it is simple but not easy. It takes a lot of practice because we are conditioned through both our DNA and human life experiences to think a certain way when confronted with certain challenges or events.

How Can I Use This Information

alt='Abstract graphic depicting brainwaves with the words Energy as Information below'

We can change these patterns. Here is a simple tool to start with. When confronted by something, and you have a thought which is producing stress, anxiety, or worry, just take note of the thought. Upon noticing it, tell yourself: “It’s just energy!” Then say to the situation: “Thanks for the energy.”

Using gratitude, we can then access that stagnant energy as a resource (a destructive emotion such as anger, worry or anxiety is trapped energy that needs to move).

By changing how we view the challenge, whatever it may be, we change the chemicals that are released into our brain, and thus change our body’s response.

Now we can use the energy to move, walk, run, skip, dance, or sing! When you get proficient at this you can use it to create or manifest.

What do you want in your life? You have abundant energy all around you to create whatever that is! Start manifesting today!

The Physical Realm We Live In

Matter, that’s everything we can feel, see, touch, smell and hear, is also just energy. Einstein’s theory of relativity, E=MC2, speaks to this. The equation expresses that matter and energy are the same and can be changed into each other.Alt='Globe of Earth held by a hand'

The energy of any form of matter at rest is determined to be mc2. So, any bit of matter has an energy that potentially is available for conversion to other forms of energy.

The point is, all the stuff around you is just energy. It has the potential to be something of greater value to you if you are willing to see it differently.

As an example, Let’s say you are walking down the street. You pass something that makes you clinch a little. It may be something noisy, perhaps it is unsightly, or even smells bad. It doesn’t matter what it is, the main thing is that you are less comfortable in its presence. While your first reaction may be to get away as quickly as possible, it could also stir a more forceful response. What I’d like you to try is to thank it for being there to teach you about energy!

I strongly believe that everything can work for us. It’s all about perspective. If you think something is wrong, bad, disgusting…

It will be whatever you think about it.

If you see it as a teacher, with gratitude and curiosity, all of a sudden whatever it was that made you clinch has much less power over you. It’s because you took your power back. You are now no longer a victim of that noisy, disgusting smelly thing. It came into your life to help you. Be grateful!

The People In Our Lives

The folks in our lives who are family, friends, acquaintances, strangers who cross our path, and even adversaries or folks that are challenging for us to be around; they are all just energy too! On top of that, they have their own emotions, and stories, while seeing the world from their own unique perspective,

Their perspective may or may not align with yours. It doesn’t matter. Everyone sees life differently. Our job is to observe everything that crosses our path, and use that energy to create Love and Light.

We can’t change someone else or do their work for them. We can only set an example by living our own life and creating Light and Love wherever we are. Everything else will take care of itself.

Qigong As A Tool

Qigong is a practice for managing energy. Through the movement, breath, visualizations, and mental intentions in a Qigong practice, we become completely present in our thoughts. We then use those present thoughts to manifest energy and a state of well-being in our physical, emotional, and mental bodies.

I invite you to explore my free YouTube channel and the many simple short Qigong exercises available.

I can also create a personalized practice for you.

  1. I really enjoyed this post. It was very eye opening and thought provoking. Even though I had some concept about matter and energy you really made it much easier to understand. I have seen people doing Qigong at my local park and some nearby beaches. I guess they knew something I did not.

    Keep up the great writing.

    1. Thanks, Kevin!

I appreciate you taking the time to read and comment.

I hope you can check out some Qigong!

      Stat well and thrive!

  2. Hi Albert,

You have referred back to the great discussion in the early twentieth century about energy or matter being the fundamental particle. It was concluded well with the famous Einstein Formula.

Qidong is a new subject to me and you have introduced it well.

Where did Qidong originate? How is its popularity around the world.

Will look forward to hear more from you on this subject.

    Regards,

    Rohit

    1. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment, Rohit!

      Qigong originated in China.

The earliest evidence of is use is from nearly 5000 years ago.

Qigong is one of the 5 branches of Chinese Medicine, and by far the oldest.

It’s popularity is beginning to grow, but it is also misunderstood.

  3. To those who say energy does not have a physical form, how tired do you get when stressed or emotional? There are and will be many times when your negative thoughts have brought you so low and unproductive because of their weight. Each of us while having a mortal body finds that negative energy causes us to such a weight that it is difficult to make it through the day. Positive energy on the other hand makes the day seem to be much more pleasant and short than those negative days.\

  4. The post about energy in general is very interesting. Energy is created and changed. I have periods when I am full of energy and in the mood for many activities, but there are also periods when I don’t even have the energy to get out of bed. My opinion is that each of us should focuses on the flow of positive energy. With spiritual exercises, maybe yoga, but also your recommended exercises. Perfect

  5. My friend I so enjoyed this read I even bookmarked it. I understood we are all balls of energy but the way you put it together and the example you give on YouTube was truly enlightening.

Thank you for making my day and for helping others get through the tough times by teaching them how to better understand themselves and how they can live calmer more peaceful lives.

    1. Thanks, JR, for taking the time to read and comment on this post. Thank you also for your kind words.

I’m happy to read that this snapshot of our energetic self was helpful to you.

Stay well and keep on thriving!

  6. This is a very interesting read. I haven’t heard of this particular practice Qiworks before. Where was this established and where did this evolve?

I agree from a physics perspective about energy and how this is transformed, never lost. Our minds are powerful and require the right forms of energy, positivity and stimulation to keep healthy and productive. I would be interested in knowing more about the psychological science underlying this artform. Do you teach this online and in person? Or is this simply done online via recordings?

Thanks for sharing such an interesting article.

    1. Hi Dale,

Thanks for taking the time to read and comment,

Qiworks, is the name of my business. It’s a play on the indigenous internal martial art of Qigong. ‘Qi’ (pronounced QI) means “life-force energy.” There is no western equivalent word because Qi is a concept that western medicine does not embrace. ‘Gong’ means work or more specifically cultivation. Thus Qigong is the discipline of Life-Force Energy cultivation.

I teach Qigong live and also have a YouTube channel, You can check that out here: https://www.youtube.com/@AlPer

I also have online courses, the first module is free, check that out here: https://qiworks.net/live-life-

Thanks again for your interest, Dale!

      Stay well and keep thriving!

  7. This is a very interesting and thought provoking post on energy, and how it relates to Qigong. Although I knew that Qigong is an ancient form of healing, I did not know that Qigong is a practice for managing energy.

So would that include positive and negative energy? What I mean by negative energy, is getting rid of toxins, negative emotions and “bad vibes” within the body. Or will the positive aspects of Qigong naturally displace any negative emotions and thoughts? Thank you.

  8. I really enjoyed reading this post. I feel like I came a crossed this post for a reason. I have been feeling down and out about myself and noticing it getting worse. If I think it will become. I am trying to keep a positive mind about what is going on and this post will help me keep going with that. It takes a little bit of time for this to change. I hope soon that I can live the life I want instead of the fears I have in my head. I need to thank them for their time and move on to positive and manifesting.

  9. We are a product of our thoughts. Our thoughts have power and go a long way to determine what we get. I remember a book I read some years ago – The Secret. I learnt to use the power of my thoughts to create my world. It is where a lot of folks fail. They either do not know or neglect the power of the mind. So they never harness it

    1. What you say is true.

However I almost didn’t approve your comment because it doesn’t address this article. If you want to spread the wisdom you’ve learned throughout your life, write your own articles. If you want to comment on someone’s writing. Give them something about what they’ve written. Critical writing is a gift to the author. It is helpful to them to be a better writer.

Write a article about the power of the mind.

      This article is about energy.

To your health, keep on thriving!

  10. Hi Albert

Since everything is comprised of energy, whether our ideas are positive or bad, they will have an impact on our environment, our body, and our mind. I appreciate your post since I have always referred to it as vibration. I avoid watching television that has a very bad vibration or energy.

People may change their moods and try to disturb or shift your energy, but we all need to remember to let it out. A familiar course of action when we are angry or sad is to walk it out as I do, but then I start talking about it, I find that my thoughts, which are my energy, are upsetting me.

It's remarkable how you convey ideas or energy, and the things I think and say constantly affect who I am. I say it will work out all the time, and it does.

    1. Thanks, Georgiana, for your thoughtful comment.
Yes, walking out our emotions is a perfect example of using that emotional energy for something constructive. Just think, if we can utilize that energy for anything, what can we accomplish?
      Keep on thriving!
      Al

  11. Energy is a great weapon if only you know the principal behind if. Either static or stationary, everything has one form of energy or the other. It’s really nice how you’ve simplified this to the understanding of all. After going through this article I was able to grab more knowledge on energy.
